If there is indeed this constant technological progress, why do our working hours never decrease? Why must we always fear for our jobs, and why is it never seen as something positive in our society when there is less to do?
Capitalism affects all of us. The Open Marx project aims to contribute specifically to a better understanding of capitalism outside of academia. The booklet is based on Capital by Karl Marx, though the content is conveyed rather freely.
If you have read the booklet and helped you to understand the society we are living in, then I urgently ask you to print it multiple times, preferably over the long term, and to place it in public spaces. It must reach the people who think they have nothing to do with it. Tram seats, pubs, and open spaces may be good places for this. Knowledge on capitalism can help counter todays shift to the right.
The booklet is translated in various languages. You will find the text and versions to print in the respective section. How to staple a booklet without a long-arm stapler is described here: https://www.wikihow.com/Staple-a-Booklet
Contributions to the project are greatly appreciated. It could be through improvement suggestions to the content or the revision or adding of translations. See the respective section for more information.
